About Faith Adams
Young Artist Programs
Faith Adams is contracted as a 2026 Studio Artist for Chautauqua Opera Company. She will cover the role of Kate in the world-premiere of Jeremy Gill's Ida by Lamplight, and she will originate roles in workshops of Mark Adamo's Sarah in the Theatre, Herschel Garfein's Rosencrantz and Guildenstern Are Dead, and Luna Pearl Woolf's A Prayer for Owen Meaney and Anne of Green Gables.
In June 2025, Faith made her operatic debut in Asia in the inaugural Tokyo Opera Studio as Contessa Almaviva in a fully staged production of Mozart's Le nozze di Figaro.
In summer 2023, Faith made her Carnegie Hall debut with Manhattan Opera Studio. The company completed a residency at OPERA America where she performed as Papagena and covered Pamina in a full-scale production of Mozart's Die Zauberflöte, and in an additional concert production, Faith reprised the role of Pamina.
Faith attended the 2021 Taos Opera Institute and performed under the baton of resident composer Michael Ching in a production of his opera Remove Shoes Before Entering.
Collegiate Engagements
Faith Adams reprised the role of Susannah in celebration of composer Carlisle Floyd's Centennial Birthday Festival for Loyola Opera Theatre's 2026 production of Susannah. She represented the production on live TV for local Fox 8 and "Steppin' Out" on PBS WYES.
Over the 2025-2026 school year, Faith Adams performed as Diana in Loyola's production of Orpheus in the Underworld by Offenbach, in which she served as the makeup designer. She also had the opportunity to represent Loyola as a student ambassador for the New Orleans Opera season of the same year.
With TCU Opera Studio, Faith performed as Susannah in Carlisle Floyd's Susannah (2023), Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte (2023) and First Witch in Purcell's Dido and Aeneas (2022).
Additional role performances at TCU include Pernille in The Beautiful Bridegroom and La Modista in Il cappello di paglia di Firenze.
Born in Fort Worth, Texas
Faith Adams entered the Texas All-State Choir competition process as a high-schooler, and her success ignited a passion for performing. Since then, she obtained her Bachelor of Music in Vocal Performance at TCU under the tutelage of both Angela Turner Wilson and Twyla Robinson, and she studied as a pupil of Irini Kyriakidou Hymel at Loyola University New Orleans for her Master of Music education.
Ms. Adams holds titles such as the Second Prize Winner of the Young Soloist International Music Competition (2023), Semi-Finalist in the Young Texas Artists Music Competition (2025 and 2026), Semi-Finalist and Finalist in Texoma NATS (2019 and 2020), and Finalist in the Schmidt Competition (2017). Additionally, she has participated in a variety of professional engagements, such as performing for the Gulf Coast Metropolitan Opera Laffont Competition Amici Group, New Orleans Deutsches Haus and Italian Arts Federation, the Fort Worth Rodeo, and the National Rodeo at Billy Bob's. In 2020, she participated in the TCU Festival of American Song in collaboration with composer Libby Larsen.
No stranger to choral performance, Ms. Adams served as a professional soprano section leader at Munholland Methodist Church in New Orleans from 2025-2026. She previously worked as a section leader at St. Stephen Presbyterian in Fort Worth from 2021-2024, and with this choir, she participated in a residency at Canterbury Cathedral and St. Albans Cathedral in the United Kingdom (2024). Her other professional endeavors include work as a private voice and piano instructor for Louisiana Academy of Performing Arts.
